New Production Plant in Poing for More Energy Efficiency in Operations at REMA TIP TOP

Poing, Near Munich, Germany, October 31st, 2024. REMA TIP TOP is converting its production of adhesive systems and solutions in Poing near Munich to new, innovative processes and technologies. In this way, the amount of energy used in the production of adhesive systems can be reduced significantly.

REMA TIP TOP, a global system provider of services and products in the field of conveyor and processing technology as well as tire repair, has been producing bonding systems and solutions at its headquarters in Poing near Munich for more than 50 years. With the comprehensive modernization of the production facility and the switch to innovative production processes, the company is now taking an important step towards decarbonization.

Thanks to the new processes, the carbon footprint of the production of adhesive systems and solutions will be reduced and energy consumption will be significantly lowered. "By modernizing our infrastructure and processes, we are setting the course for greater sustainability and efficiency in the production of our products," says Claudia Niemann, responsible for production and technology at REMA TIP TOP worldwide, explaining the motivation behind the project.

The decarbonization of production and the significant increase in energy efficiency will be achieved by a bundle of different measures. These include the use of a modern, fully automated filling system, energy-efficient motors and production technology, the elimination of energy-intensive mixing processes in internal mixers and rolling mills, and a high degree of process automation. The product packaging has also been given a new, fresh design to match the new, modern system.

With the new production facility, REMA TIP TOP is not only investing in the sustainability of production at the Poing site near Munich, but also in the long-term quality of its "Made in Germany" products. “This will be further optimized through innovative technology and automated processes in order to meet the high demands of our customers in the future as well," assures Claudia Niemann.
